30 Stories in 30 Days: The Wedding

After a two-year hiatus, I’m back to my old 30 Stories in 30 Days ways, this time inspired by pilfering photos from my friend Mark McCall’s outstanding wedding photography site. All 30 stories are taking place at the same wedding, each from a different guest’s point of view.

I do this in November as part of National Novel Writing Month, though because of the interlinked nature of the tales and the continual revisions as I incorporate elements of other people’s stories,

January 2020 update: this year’s 30 Stories was a blast to write — I completed 27* stories filled with characters I love and loathe and would love to go to a wedding with.

However, because they’re all linked, I feel like they’re only half done right now. I’m revising all of the stories (30 now) to incorporate bits of other characters and deepen the plot structure. I’m not sure how long this will take, but I’ll be rolling them out as soon as I can.

Thanks for your interest. I’m looking forward to sharing them.

* Two of the days were spent updating the previous day’s story, and one day, I was a slacker.
